... and the silence echoed in my ears;
there should be your words there to fill it,
but you are long gone...
and if the house was once full of laughter,
it now rots away, untouched, unfilled,
for one heart can never make it whole,
one mind never keep on smiling (forever) ...
there are still fingerprints on the glass panes;
not even dust would dare disturb your memory,
but you are long gone...
your clothes still lie where you had left them,
and the shoes still remember your steps,
but there where you once sat on the chair,
I could never sit again, I can never live again ...
You are long gone, and I lie here in silence,
contemplating thoughts that will not bring you back,
nothing will bring you back.
